Bruin Armaments is a company featured in Crimson Skies. They are a firearms manufacturer, most notably producing large cannons such as the .70-caliber "Goliath".
Products[]
.30-caliber[]
The smallest gun produced by Bruin is the .30-caliber machine gun, two of which are mounted on the Curtiss-Wright J2 Fury.[1] However, four are also mounted on the Ford Hoplite[2] and two on the Messerschmitt/General Motors Intrepid.[3]
.40-caliber[]
The .40-caliber machine gun was also used in a pair on the Fury and provided heavier firepower when the .30-calibers were not capable but the .70-caliber was overkill.[1] Two were also mounted on the Intrepid.[3]
.60-caliber[]
The .60-caliber gun was the primary heavy armament on the Intrepid, which featured one .60-caliber down the centerline of the aircraft.[3]
.70-caliber "Goliath"[]
The .70-caliber "Goliath" cannon is the largest and most powerful weapon fitted to aircraft. Approaching 20mm in size, the Goliath costs $780, weighs a whopping 920 lbs and has a range of 1,000 ft. With a fire rate of 6/sec and 600 supplied rounds, the cannon is ideal for taking on a Zeppelin, attacking heavy ground targets, or just straight being mounted onto a zeppelin itself.[5]
