Trivia[]

  • The Mitsubishi A5 is a real aircraft, however its name was the A5M and it does not much resemble the one found in the book.
  • Likewise, the Yakolev Yak-4 is a real aircraft, however it is a single fuselage, twin engine light bomber rather than a twin fuselage fighter.
  • The book has a stat file for the Focke-Wulf Hellhound, however the stats and even the name does not match what has appeared elsewhere. This would make it one of the three different variations of the Hellhound in the series, being the Focke-Wulf Fw 193 Hellhound of the PC game, the Focke-Wulf Fw 193 Hellhound listed on the Firedrake website, and now this Fw 140 of the Gazetteer.
  • The stats given for the Swordfish are heavily inflated, or buffed, compared to the Swordfish in real life. The Gazetteer Swordfish has nearly double the engine power, over double the top speed, and also far more firepower in comparison to the real Fairey Swordfish.
