The Teresá is a ship featured in Crimson Skies. It is a 16th-century British galleon which sunk around what is now the Kingdom of Hawaii.[1] It was carrying a fortune of stolen Spanish gold at the time of its sinking during the voyage of Sir Francis Drake, an English explorer and privateer.[1] Nathan Zachary discovers the rough whereabouts of the ship after picking up a book on the voyage of Drake[1] as well as looking at a leather map the Fortune Hunters stole from Tortuga in 1935.[2] The ship is located around the Kapaʻau islands in Hawaii, prompting the Fortune Hunters to go in search of it.[1]
Arriving in Hawaii, Zachary and Betty Charles fly recon around the island, eventually finding the ship in a mostly enclosed bay, partially submerged. However, while doing so, they destroy a Medusas Cargo zeppelin who were also trying to locate the treasure as well as disturb a British Empire convoy and destroy it.[3] This prompts an armed response from the British who attempt to bomb and destroy the treasure site using three Bristol Type 140 Balmoral bombers, in the hopes that without the treasure, the pirates will leave for new opportunities.[4] However, Zachary boards and steals a bomber,[4] discovering the location of a British base on the Hawaiian islands.[5]
Deciding to use this base to further their plans to rescue the treasure from the ship, the Fortune Hunters attack and take over the base,[6] discovering a new loading crane which they fit to the Pandora to make loading the treasure easier.[7] Defending their new base from a British retaliatory attack,[8] the Fortune Hunters return to the treasure site and begin loading the treasure.[9] Defending the Pandora against attacking Medusa aircraft, they successfully salvage the gold from the ship and leave Hawaii to sell it, leaving the ship in the bay.[9]
